DIY Jewelry Guide
Step 1: Prepare Your Project
Pick the beads that you like. Begin by laying out the beads in a pattern. Continue laying out the beads until you have the approximate length you desire.
(Bracelet about 7-8 inch. Necklace about 16inch ~ 20inch various on price)
Step 2: Prepare String wire
Measure and use cutting plier to cut your stringing wire. Add 5" of extra wire to your anticipated finished length. (For example, if you desire 16" then wire should be both side 21" ) You will need this excess to hold the clasp and have extra wire to tuck inside of the beads that sit closest to the clasp. Used an alligator clip close one end of the stringing wire with a bead stopper.
Step 3: String Your Beads
Begin stringing beads onto the beading wire. Have fun!
Step 4: Prepare The Ending (either lobster clasp or O-T clasp)
(lobster clasp )
Prepare 2 clamshell knot covers, 2 crimp beads and 1 lobster clasp with chain for ending.
Step 5: Finish The Ending
Begin by stringing a clamshell knot cover at first (through the middle of the cover), and then a crimp bead. Next, bring the stringing wire back through the clamshell. Use needle nose plier to clamp the crimp bead. Leave a tail of approximately 1" of the stringing wire, and move all beads down making sure to cover the excess wire tail. (Other side, remove bead stopper, repeat the step before. )
Step 6: Clean Up
Snip excess wire with cutting plier as close into the bead as possible being careful not to cut the main stringing wire.
Step 7: Clip on
Use needle nose plier to open the ring and insert the lobster clip, on the other side, open the ring and insert extension chain.
Step 4: Prepare The Ending (either lobster clasp or O-T clasp)
(O-T clasp )
Prepare 4 crimp beads and 1 set of O-T clasp for ending.
Step 5: Finish The Ending
Use needle nose plier to open the ring.
Begin by stringing two crimp beads and O clasp. Next, bring the stringing wire back through the crimp beads.
Use needle nose plier to clamp the two crimp beads. Leave a tail of approximately 1" of the stringing wire, and move all beads down making sure to cover the excess wire tail. (Other side, remove bead stopper, repeat the step before with T clasp )
Step 6: Clean Up
Snip excess wire with cutting plier as close into the bead as possible being careful not to cut the main stringing wire.
Congratulations! You have just completed your project!
